Dog Day Care Centre

The Bones

To make sure your dog is ready and able to join Woofstop, to ensure their own safety as well as that of other dogs and people:

They must be up to date with full vaccinations including Kennel Cough.

Males of 6 months and older must be neutered.

Flea and worming treatments must be up to date.

Obviously, puppies will still be in their learning phase, but all of our Woofstoppers do require to have good manners and know basic obedience commands. We will assist with re-enforcing puppies' basic commands and manners; however, older dogs must already be trained in them.

From the Beginning:

Not all dogs are suited to a day care environment, so to ensure that your dog, all other Woofstoppers, and our team of carers have a happy, care free, relaxed day of fun and activities, we do have a thorough application process. If we are able to offer you a place, it starts with completion of a comprehensive application form which captures all of the essential information we need to know about your loved one so we can provide the optimum level of care.

If you and Woofstop are happy with all the information provided at this stage, this is followed by an invitation to visit Woofstop, with your dog, so you can view our facilities and we have the opportunity to put in perspective where and how your dog is cared for. Again, if you are happy with everything at this stage we can go ahead and agree your dog's first day!

On the first day as a Woofstopper, we undertake a full assessment during individual meetings with all our human carers and four legged friends who will be in their group. This is all done at their own pace so we don't put any unnecessary pressure on them and ensure the best experience. It allows us to see how they respond to the team, dogs or puppies in their group and the environment. Our assessment is to ensure your dog is totally happy attending Woofstop and being around other dogs and people, and that there are no issues with things like anti-social behaviour, anxiety or general unhappiness being in this environment.

Of course, they will be continually assessed to make sure they are always safe and happy during their visits. We will keep you informed and updated at all times.
